When To Call a Plumber for Garbage Disposal Installation

A garbage disposal looks like an easy swap, but the drain, power and mounting all have to be right.

Call a plumber when:

1. The unit leaks from the bottom or sides.

2. It hums but will not spin after a reset.

3. The sink drains slowly even with the disposal off.

4. You are installing one where there was none.
